Elementary, Middle, and High Schools, Multi-Purpose Structures, Gymnasiums, Libraries McClone Construction started performing structural wood framing in 1993 to add further diversity to the company and create greater opportunity for our team members. Most Wood Frame educational facilities are built for use by High Schools and Early Education clients. These types of structures are typically designed using internal wood framing with a stucco or plaster facade. Wood framing for schools is significantly different then that of typical residential framing. The tolerances are much more stringent and the framing typically encapsulates structural steel elements. In addition, extensive blocking, strapping and metal clip are specified in most structures, requiring extensive planning and scheduling to mitigate possible delays in the framing schedule.
